About

Eileen Peters

I (she/her) am a sociologist and researcher in the field of Sociology currently leading a BMBF-funded project at the Institute of Economic and Social Research that investigates the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on the gendered division of labor and how this impacts gender inequalities in the labor market.

My research examines relational inequalities in the labor market, with a focus on how organizational norms, rules, regulations, and interactional processes (re)produce and legitimize disparities between categorically distinct groups, such as those based on gender or migration background. To investigate these dynamics, I leverage Linked Employer-Employee and register data, employing advanced quantitative research methods.
